Christine with her original blond hair and Erik from Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux
My interpretation of them anyway.
I made Erik a bit younger here for a change.
Holy moly!! What a HUGE leap of improvement! Just...everything has taken this major turn for a better. It's really noticable how much you've improved in this piece.
The line quality really gives it so much depth, the folds in the clothes and ruffles are just FAB, Christine's expression and Erik's loving yet threatening pose really pulls at your heart strings (I'm totally digging your interpretation of the mask too by the way!! <3), the detail in the gloves Christine's hair, Erik's folded collar of his dress shirt... all these things REALLY stand out to me. You've improved so fast in such a short amount of time!! O_O! *envy*
This is absolutely fab! I think you should tone it when you get the chance. ^^

You really think so? thankies so much.
Im trying real hard to get away from all my old habits and that dead goose called anime.
I was actually thinking of toning it, but I cant quite get the hang of this program, so I might do it in traditionals.. hmm, speaking of, I toned that little Ahiru picture when you were here last time and I never put it up
I wanted to try markers on it, but I dont want to do anything over my lineart, want to preserve it forever
I like this work a lot. For some reason, Erik's face is really cool to me. ^_^ May fav. part. One small thing is that it feels like his hand on the girl's arm is a bit flat. I'm not sure though.
Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
The Cutting Edge is a weekly article that features brand new selected high quality art products that caught our eyes. Check out the cutting edge prints some of your fellow artists have submitted in the past week!
