Films to Comics!

Film.  Animation.  Video on dA??    Yes, let’s start there

Tomorrow is THE day!!  September 30th marks the one year anniversary that the doors of film and animation were opened here on the site and we now have 1731 deviants with film submission privileges!

Our unique by invitation only film gallery encompasses a multitude of genres and film mediums from horror and suspense, to drama, comedy, trailers, demo-reels, artistic music videos, tutorials  and more in both film and animation style platforms.  If you’ve happened to miss the fact that we have these gems on the site, allow us to point you in the direction of the Film Gallery for your browsing pleasure!  

Massive thanks to everyone who has contributed to making the film community what it is today through submitting, watching and supporting! We’re looking forward to growing bigger and badder as this next year passes.

So it's DAfilm's 1 year birthday! Awww, look how cute is!

Okay so of course that means I'm going to bite off more than I can chew again and run a second contest!

This contest, we'll keep it simple.
Choose one of the following films (which we have permission to use for this contest), watch it and turn that baby into a comic!

All these film people keep making comics into movies (hellboy, batman, V for vendetta, sin city), so I thought we should turn the tables!

You don't need to know anything about film, or animation, just simply watch the film, and make a comic on it.

You can do a direct TV to comic style, or you can make some adaption like filmakers do. It's up to you!

Some rules:
1. note jeriweaver your submission with the subject "Films to Comics Submission"
Please remember I am running more than one contest, so if you have a question, please comment on this journal.

2. Comics do not have to be exact to the film, you can take liberties, but should be recognizable. no size limit.

3. Must be one of the below pre-selected films

Simple as can be!


Prizes:

First:
* 1 Year subs + deviantART Tshirt of their choice (or $25.00 dev dollars)

Second:
* 6 month subs + dA button pack

Third:
* 3 month sub + dA keychain
